Real client, real relaunch — designing and building a fully responsive website for a Fort Lauderdale construction company.
THE PROJECT.
JY Construction Group came to me with a clear brief: they were rebranding and needed a new website to match. The goal was to build something that felt modern and polished while staying true to their existing brand guidelines — keeping the established reds and grays, but elevating the overall design and bringing the site up to current standards.
This was my first professional web design engagement outside of school — a real client, a real deadline, and a real business depending on the outcome.
MY ROLE.
I started by meeting with members of the JY team to understand the company, its services, and the vision for the new site. With no prior experience in construction, getting that context upfront was essential — I needed to understand how they talked about their work and what a potential client needed to see before making contact.
Once I had a clear picture of the content and page structure, I designed and built the full site in Wix — a homepage, services pages, project gallery, and contact page — using their existing brand guidelines as the visual foundation.
THE RESULT.
A fully responsive, brand-consistent website built around bold project imagery to tell the company's story visually. The site gave JY Construction Group a professional web presence aligned with their rebrand — covering their core services, showcasing completed projects, and making it easy for potential clients to get in touch.
